●Description: 9-Bromoanthracene is an important anthracene-based intermediate for organic optoelectronic materials. The anthracene ring, as an aromatic system with a large conjugated plane, features a wide energy gap, high fluorescence quantum yield, and good charge transport capability. The introduction of a bromine atom at the 9-position not only functions as an electron-withdrawing group to modulate the electron cloud distribution of the molecule but also provides a highly reactive site for subsequent functionalization. This compound serves as a key precursor in the synthesis of blue emitters, host materials, and charge transport materials for OLED devices. Through cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki and Stille, the anthracene unit can be incorporated into more complex molecular frameworks. 9.9'-Bianthryl, synthesized from 9-bromoanthracene, can be used as a blue emitter, and near-white organic electroluminescent devices can be fabricated by doping with rubrene.
